An online postcard from my holiday in Malaga, Spain!

A blue sky, no clouds, a beaming sun, and a slight breeze to break the heat. Perfect weather is what I call that. A situation which is far from what the UK is experiencing at the moment.

As a Brit you always hope that you experience some great British summer weather just before you go away and then when you are away is buckets down with rain until you return. That way you miss the bad parts of the ‘Great British Summer’. This wish wasn’t perfectly executed this year as there were a couple of days rain just before I left the country. This doesn’t really matter any more though, as it’s hard to feel anything but happiness when the weather is this great.

Been having a lovely time out here. The parents were around for the first few days. We all went out for a couple of meals. Me and the Dad got in a round of golf (another poor performance on the golf course from myself). Then they have returned home to leave me and missus to enjoy the flat to ourselves.

We’ve only had a day to ourselves since they have been gone, but last night we went to a place called Mijas and it was brilliant. Mijas is a traditional Spanish town, cobble streets and every building is painted white. The town church itself is 400+ years old. We had a lovely meal and nice walk round the town before coming back to the flat.

That’s it for festivities so far. Today we are spending the day in the flat and round the pool. Probably will cook fajitas tonight before watching the C4 program about MJ and the last few months of his life. Will be taking Amy down the driving range at some point. Going to try to teach her to hit a golf ball properly (I say properly, I’ve got to figure that out first!).

Hope your doing good (whoever is reading this)! Wish you were here!
